This project was a full Shopify rebuild for Civil Coffee, an LA-based specialty coffee company sourcing beans exclusively from Mexico. Following a brand refresh led by the East of Western design team, I focused on translating the new visual language into an ecommerce experience that felt expressive, flexible, and grounded in storytelling. Behind the scenes, I restructured the content system using Shopify metafields, making the site easy to maintain long-term while giving the Civil team flexibility to introduce new content, color treatments, and custom details that reflect their unique voice. Less time dealing with the CMS, more time sharing their delicious coffee.
